SAN ANGELO –Pam Bunch, Charlie Bullock, and Mary Haan, three professional artists, came to support their good friend, and fellow artist, Raul Rúiz at his gallery celebration opening held on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Rúiz moved into the art district at 418 S. Oakes St.
The three professionals in the business a combined 100 years, stated Raul has been a dear friend who has come to their gallery shows and shown his support for them also.
Pam who lives in Del Rio, is owner of Lee Bunch Studio Gallery. Her work depicts ranch life and western scenes.
Bullock lives in Athens, Texas where he runs his Art Studio & Gallery business. Bullock stated he is inspired by western history and keeping the Cowboy and native American history alive. Bullock’s name should be familiar to professionals as he was the recipient of the Clyde Heron Award--given to the most accurately rendered artwork of a historical subject when the 37th American Plains Art Show was held earlier on June 23, 2022 at Fort Concho.
Haan, owner of Fine Art located in Abilene, Texas, considers herself a western artist. “If I see it, and I love it, I draw it. I appreciate Raul inviting us here to be with him. He’s a good friend” concluded Haan.
Among those in attendance included: Rúiz’ brothers and sister, Tom Green County Judge, Brad Goodwin and his wife, Toni, San Angelo attorney, Mr. Joe Hernandez, Del Velasquez, and Monica Ramos, Downtown San Angelo Inc., and others.
