San Ángelo, Texas – El Centro de Desarrollo de empresas pequeños, (SBDC siglas en ingles) es parte la Universidad Estatal de San Ángelo. En esa organización trabaja el Sr. Trinidad Aguirre, como Especialista en Desarrollo de Negocios.
Aguirre obtuvo su licenciatura en Ciencias de la Computación de la Universidad Estatal San Ángelo y una maestría MBA de la Universidad de Dallas. Antes de esta asignación, trabajó durante 30 años en la empresa Verizon donde se desempeñó como presidente de área en 16 estados, incluidos Texas, California y Florida.
Tras su jubilación, Trinidad y su esposa Marie regresaron a San Ángelo y, juntos han dirigido una empresa petrolífera, una tienda de ropa para mujeres, numerosas propiedades comerciales y una empresa que brinda asesoría. En su puesto en SBDC, él tiene una meta muy específica.
“Queremos hacer es brindar ayuda personalizada a las empresas que necesiten ayuda por efectos del COVID”, dijo Trinidad. “Esta pandemia ha afectado a muchos negocios, no solamente a restaurantes, sino también a la construcción; es decir a toda una combinación de empresas”.
El señor Aguirre dijo que los servicios son gratuitos y hasta se acude directamente a las direcciones de sus negocios para hablar directamente con los dueños de los negocios.
“No solamente podemos acudir a los negocios en San Ángelo, sino también a las ciudades y pueblos que están alrededor de nosotros”, dijo Trinidad. “En el centro somos cinco personas laborando, y podemos atender a quienes no tienen un establecimiento fijo, como los transportistas, choferes que hacen entregas de insumos o materiales”.
SBDC es parte de una red regional en toda la Red Fronteriza del Sudoeste de Texas. San Angelo, Texas – The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is part of San Angelo State University. Mr. Trinidad Aguirre works in that organization as a Business Development Specialist.
Aguirre earned his BS in Computer Science from San Angelo State University and an MBA from the University of Dallas. Prior to this assignment, he spent 30 years with Verizon where he served as area president in 16 states, including Texas, California and Florida.
After their retirement, Trinidad and his wife Marie returned to San Angelo and together they have run an oil company, a women's clothing store, numerous commercial properties, and a consulting firm. In his role at SBDC, he has a very specific goal.
"We want to do is provide personalized help to companies that need help due to the effects of COVID," said Trinidad. “This pandemic has affected many businesses, not only restaurants, but also construction; in other words, a whole combination of companies”.
Mr. Aguirre said that the services are free and they even go directly to the addresses of their businesses to speak directly with the business owners.
“Not only can we go to business in San Angelo, but also to the cities and towns that are around us,” Trinidad said. "In the center we are five people working, and we can serve those who do not have a fixed establishment, such as transporters, drivers who deliver supplies or materials."
SBDC is part of a regional network throughout the Southwest Texas Border Network.
