SAN ANGELO – The most recent meeting of the Pachyderm Club was held this past Wednesday, March 15, 2019. Chief Carter detailed National Police Week community activities. Stan Meador discussed the future railroad plans of Texas Pacifico, and Joseph Vargas was presented with the Meritorious Service Award.
The Meritorious Service Award is presented to members who have exhibited special devotion, exceptional service to the Club, and exceptional service outside the organization which has brought honor and notoriety to the organization.
Fred Contreras, San Angelo Pachyderm Club President, brought the board of directors to the podium for the special announcement. Joseph Vargas was thanked for his service to the Club, to the local community, and for his service across the state. The presentation was followed by a second recognition from Laura Lewis, on behalf of Senator Charles Perry's office
