De bueno a mejor

Del Rio, Texas – Es la primera vez que la humanidad, de manera colectiva y universal, exterioriza miedo y pánico de perder la vida por causa de un virus. El temor se ha apoderado del mundo. El caos es inminente. La ilusión de un mundo mejor se esfuma. La espera de una pronta solución se alarga. La cuarentena que sería cuarenta días, ahora puede ser cuarenta meses o cuarenta años.
Sin embargo, para el cristiano y las personas de fe en Cristo y la llegada de su reino a la tierra, tienen la esperanza. La esperanza es diferente al optimismo del mundo y a las vanas ilusiones que propone. Tampoco la esperanza es sentarse a esperar que las cosas cambien o lleguen, sin que hagamos nada.
La esperanza no es una mera expresión de anhelos y deseos, sino una plena confianza: “Y el Dios de esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz en el creer, para que abundéis en esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo” (Romanos 15:13). Así que con la esperanza todos somos mesías y todos somos redimidos, todos somos maestros y todos somos aprendices.
Por eso todo lo que sucede y acontece, conduce a la esperanza de poseer los bienes del Reino de Dios, tanto presentes como futuros. Al igual que la vida eterna, siendo presente se perfecciona en el futuro. En consecuencia, gracias a la esperanza creemos que todo lo que está pasando nos sucede para bien (Romanos 8:28).

Del Rio, Texas – It is the first time that humanity, collectively and universally, expresses fear and panic of losing its life due to a virus. Fear took over the world. Chaos is imminent. The illusion of a better world disappears. The wait for a prompt solution is lengthening. The quarantine that would be forty days can now be forty months or forty years.
However, for the Christian and people of faith in Christ and the arrival of his kingdom on earth, they have hope. Hope is different from the optimism of the world and the vain illusions it proposes. Nor is hope sitting and waiting for things to change or arrive, without doing anything.
Hope is not a mere expression of longings and desires, but full confidence: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15: 13). So hopefully we are all messiahs and we are all redeemed, we are all teachers and we are all learners.
That is why everything that happens and happens leads to the hope of possessing the goods of the Kingdom of God, both present and future. Like eternal life, being present is perfected in the future. Consequently, thanks to hope we believe that everything that is happening happens to us for the good (Romans 8:28).
