¿Qué dice la Biblia?

A la mayoría de nosotros no nos gustan las pruebas. Cuanto más difíciles son, menos nos gustan. Entonces, ¿por qué hacerse pruebas? ¿Qué dice la Biblia?

1 Corintios 3:13: “La obra de cada uno se hará manifiesta; porque el día la revelará, pues con fuego será revelada; y el fuego probará la calidad de la obra de cada uno.”

Santiago 1:2-4: “Hermanos míos, tened por sumo gozo cuando os halléis en diversas pruebas, pues sabéis que la prueba de vuestra fe produce paciencia. Y que la paciencia tenga su pleno efecto, para que seáis perfectos y completos, sin que os falte nada.”

De estas escrituras aprendemos:

1. Las pruebas revelan de qué estamos hechos y cómo es realmente nuestra vida. (1 Corintios 3:13)

2. Las pruebas no solo revelan, sino que también producen paciencia. (Santiago 1:2-4)

Por muy dolorosas que sean las pruebas, son parte del proceso que nos lleva a la plenitud.

What Does the Bible Say?

Most of us don’t like tests. The harder the tests the less we like them. So why have tests? What does the Bible say?

1 Corinthians 3:13 “Each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.”

James 1:2-4 “Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

From these scriptures we learn:

1. Tests reveal what we are made of and what our life really is. (1 Corinthians 3:13)

2. Tests not only reveal they also produce steadfastness. (James 1:2-4)

So as painful as tests may be, testing is part of the process that brings us to completion.
