¿Qué dice la Biblia?

Cuando pensamos en los cristianos, nos vienen a la mente muchas imágenes, pero ¿qué dice la Biblia?

2 Corintios 2:14-16 “Mas gracias a Dios, que es Cristo, quien siempre nos lleva en triunfo, y por medio de nosotros, el aroma de su conocimiento se extiende por todas partes. Porque para Dios somos grato olor de Cristo entre los que se salvan y entre los que se pierden; a unos, grato olor de muerte para muerte, a otros, grato olor de vida para vida. ¿Quién es suficiente para estas cosas?”

En esta escritura, vemos que Dios describe a los cristianos como:

1. Él nos llama el aroma de su conocimiento en todas partes. No se puede ocultar un aroma; se extiende. Sea bueno o malo, todos lo perciben.

2. Él dice que los cristianos somos el aroma de Cristo. Cuando las personas entran en contacto con nosotros, se forman una impresión de Cristo. En otras palabras, olemos a Cristo. (V.15)

3. Este es un aroma agradable para quienes buscan a Dios, pero desagradable para quienes lo detestan. (V. 15)

4. Dado que las personas pueden formarse una primera impresión de Jesús al mirarnos, debemos tener cuidado con la impresión que causamos.

Entonces, ¿a qué hueles?

What Does the Bible Say?

When we think of Christians many pictures come to mind but what does the Bible say?

2 Corinthians 2:14-16 “But thanks be to God, who is Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spread the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?”

From this scripture we see God describing Christians as:

1. He calls us the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. You can’t hide a fragrance; it spreads out. Good or bad everyone smells it.

2. He says we Christians are the aroma of Christ. When people come in contact with us they form an impression of Christ. In other words, we smell like Christ. (V.15)

3. This is a pleasant aroma to those who are seeking God but to those who dislike God it is unpleasant. (V. 15)

4. Since people may get their first impression of Jesus by looking at us we should be careful with the impression we make.
