¿Qué dice la Biblia?

He oído a algunas personas decir: «Mi vida es asunto mío. No tenemos ningún efecto en los demás». ¿Qué dice la Biblia?

Colosenses 1:3-8: “Siempre damos gracias a Dios, Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, cuando oramos por ustedes, porque hemos oído de su fe en Cristo Jesús y del amor que tienen por todos los santos, a causa de la esperanza guardada para ustedes en los cielos. De esto ya han oído en la palabra de la verdad, el evangelio que ha llegado hasta ustedes, como también en todo el mundo, y que da fruto y crece; así también entre ustedes, desde el día en que oyeron y comprendieron la gracia de Dios en verdad, tal como la aprendieron de Epafras, nuestro amado consiervo. Él es un fiel ministro de Cristo en nuestro nombre y nos ha dado a conocer su amor en el Espíritu.”

El apóstol Pablo les dice a estos cristianos y a nosotros por qué está agradecido por ellos.

1. Ha oído de su fe. Escucharon el Evangelio y lo creyeron.

2. Ha oído que aman a otros cristianos.

3. Tienen esperanza. Esperan con confianza que Dios les dé un hogar en el cielo. Esperan que Cristo cumpla sus promesas.

4. La fe Su fe está creciendo y el fruto de su fe se está extendiendo.

5. Su fe se refleja en su vida. A medida que crece en ellos, otros la ven.

What Does the Bible Say?

I have heard some people say, “My life is my business. We have no effect on others.” What does the Bible say?

Colossians 1:3-8 “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing—so among yourselves, from the day you heard and understood the grace of God in truth, as you learned it from Ep′aphras our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf and has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

The Apostle Paul tells these Christians and us why he is thankful for them.

1.      He has heard of their faith. They heard the Gospel and believed it.

2.      He has heard they have love for other Christians.

3.      They have hope. They confidently expect God to give them a home in heaven. They expect Christ to keep his promises.

4.      The faith they have is growing and the fruit of their faith is spreading.

5.      Their faith is displayed in their life. As it grows in them it is seen by others.
