¿Qué dice la Biblia?

No le caerás bien a todo el mundo. De hecho, es posible que algunas personas te odien. Entonces, ¿qué debes hacer? ¿Qué dice la Biblia?

«Bendigan a quienes los persiguen; bendigan y no maldigan. Alégrense con los que se alegran; lloren con los que lloran. Vivan en armonía unos con otros; no sean arrogantes, sino traten con humildad a los humildes; nunca se crean sabios. No paguen a nadie mal por mal; procuren hacer lo bueno delante de todos. Si es posible, y en cuanto dependa de ustedes, vivan en paz con todos». Romanos 12:14-18

De este pasaje aprendemos lo siguiente:

1. Nos sentimos tentados a maldecir a quienes nos maldicen, pero se nos manda bendecirlos.

2. Se nos manda ponernos en el lugar de los demás. Debemos alegrarnos cuando otros se alegran y entristecernos con ellos cuando están tristes.

3. Debemos vivir en armonía con los demás. Con algunas personas será fácil, pero con otras es difícil llevarse bien. Vive en armonía.

4. No seas arrogante; no debemos menospreciar a los demás.

5. Lo repitió: nunca te creas superior a los demás.

6. No intentes vengarte. Trata a todos con amabilidad.

7. Recuerda que otras personas te están observando. Compórtate bien.

El hecho de que tu enemigo tal vez no haga ninguna de estas cosas no es lo importante. Tú debes actuar como Jesús. Soy Paul Shero. Espero verte el domingo.

What Does the Bible Say?

Not everyone is going to like you. Actually some people may hate you. So what are you to do? What does the Bible say?

“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; never be conceited. Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceable with all.” Romans 12:14-18  

From this scripture we learn:

1.      We are tempted to curse those who curse us but we are commanded to bless them.

2.      It is commanded that we should put ourselves in their shoes. We should be happy when others are happy and sad with them when they are sad.

3.      We must live in harmony with others. For some people that will be easy but others are hard to get along with. Live in harmony.

4.      Do not be haughty – we must not look down on others.

5.      He said it again. Never be conceited.

6.      Don’t try to get even. Treat everyone kindly.

7.      Remember other people are watching you. Behave.

The fact that your enemy may not do any of these things is not the point. You are to act like Jesus. This is Paul Shero. I’ll be looking for you Sunday.
