Hasta ahora hemos visto la definición de fe, lo que la fe produce y que la fe es absolutamente esencial. ¿Qué más dice la Biblia? En el resto del capítulo 11 de Hebreos, vemos la fe demostrada por varias personas fieles. Por favor consiga una Biblia y lea Hebreos 11:7-31. De estas Escrituras aprendemos que la fe se demuestra mediante: 1. Noé obedeció a Dios, construyó un arca y fue salvo. (Verso 7) 2. Abraham obedeció a Dios y fue a donde Dios le decía. (Verso 8) 3. Abraham demostró su fe esperando toda su vida las promesas que Dios le hizo. Algunos de ellos llegaron después de su muerte. (Verso 13) 4. Abraham demostró su fe al obedecer a Dios cuando fue probado; aunque no entendía por qué Dios le ordenaba hacer tal sacrificio. (Verso 17) 5. José demostró su fe al dar instrucciones sobre su entierro, que tendría lugar cientos de años en el futuro. (Verso 22) 6. La Escritura dice: “Y todos éstos, aunque bien atestiguados por su fe, no recibieron lo prometido…” Hebreos 11:39. La fe es elegir obedecer a Dios, no a nuestros ojos ni a nuestro propio entendimiento. La fe es realmente GRANDE y, a veces, muy difícil. Quizás sea lo más difícil que jamás hagamos, pero podemos hacerlo. Recuerde: “Y sin fe es imposible agradarle. Porque quienquiera que quiera acercarse a Dios debe creer que él existe”. – Hebreos 11:6, ¡“debemos” tener fe! Si no tiene una Biblia pero necesita una, háganoslo saber y le ayudaremos. What Does the Bible Say?
So far we have seen the definition of faith, what faith produces, and that faith is absolutely essential. What else does the Bible say?
In the rest of Chapter 11 of Hebrews, we see faith demonstrated by various faithful people. Please get a Bible and read Hebrews 11:7-31.
From these scriptures we learn faith is demonstrated by:
1. Noah obeyed God and built an ark, and was saved. (Verse 7)
2. Abraham obeyed God and went wherever God told him. (Verse 8)
3. Abraham demonstrated his faith by waiting his whole life for the promises God made. Some of them came after his death. (Verse 13)
4. Abraham demonstrated his faith by obeying God when he was tested; even though he did not understand why God was commanding him to make such a sacrifice. (Verse 17)
5. Joseph demonstrated his faith by giving instructions concerning his burial which would be hundreds of years in the future. (Verse 22)
6. The scripture says, “And all these, though well attested by their faith, did not receive what was promised…” Hebrews 11:39
Faith is choosing to obey God, not our eyes or our own understanding. Faith is really BIG and sometimes really hard. Maybe the hardest thing we will ever do, but we can do it. Remember, “And without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists.” – Hebrews 11:6, we “must” have faith!
