Del Rio, TX - Esta mañana, poco después de las 8:00 a. M., Se llamó a los oficiales al área de South San
Felipe cerca de la calle Riojas y la calle Virginia para varios grupos de inmigrantes ilegales, en el
Al mismo tiempo, se informó de disparos en las mismas inmediaciones. Como precaución
medida, la policía escolar de SFDR CISD encerrada en todos los campus escolares en el lado sur de la ciudad.
Desde entonces, se ha levantado el bloqueo.
Investigaciones posteriores revelaron que un residente pudo haber hecho disparos para asustar a los
inmigrantes que crearon una alarma inmediata. Los oficiales están investigando actualmente una residencia
alrededor de las calles Leticia y Riojas, de donde se cree que los disparos provienen de
y no ha habido otros informes de disparos o de que alguien en el área con un arma de fuego.
La policía escolar levantará su cierre y el Departamento de Seguridad Pública de Texas está ayudando
agentes con un helicóptero en busca de los grupos que huyeron después de los disparos.
SITUATION UNDER CONTROL IN SAN FELIPE

Del Rio, TX – This morning shortly after 8:00 AM, officers were called to the area of South San
Felipe near Riojas Street and Virginia Street for several groups of illegal immigrants, at the
same time there was a report of gunshots fired in the same vicinity. As a precautionary
measure, SFDR CISD school police locked in all school campuses on the south side of town.
The lock-in has since been lifted.
Further investigation revealed that a resident may have fired gun shots to scare off the
immigrants which created immediate alarm. Officers are currently investigating a residence
around Leticia and Riojas Streets where the shots are believed to have been coming from
and there have not been any other reports of shots fired or anyone in the area with a firearm.
School Police will be lifting their lock-down and Texas Dept. of Public Safety is assisting
officers with a helicopter in searching for the groups that ran away after the shots were fired.
