SAN ANGELO — Alex Trufant described the 12th annual, West Texas Tattoo Convention as “a good time together with our tattoo family and friends for the biggest tattoo party.”
Alex, promoter and his brother, Aubrey’s tattoo party has gotten bigger every year as a diehard fan base turned out to see some of the best tattoo artists from all over the country.
One of the best at his craft was legendary Oliver Peck from Dallas, Texas; 13 years ago Peck tattooed his way into the Guinness Book of World Records when he completed 415 tattoos of the number 13 in a consecutive 24-hour period, as per http://www.elmstreettattoo.com/artists/oliver-peck/
Conexión interviewed Brandon Pollard, who said this was his third year to attend. Pollard got a tattoo that was a sun dragon with clouds; his girlfriend got one with a moon.
Trufant said approximately 70 booths with two artists per booth for a total of 140 vendors set up shop in the spacious Foster Communications Coliseum.
