Celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana y la cultura del Día de Muertos

Hoy, 16 de septiembre, comienza el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, ¡y nos emociona celebrarlo destacando la increíble obra de la artista Wendy Woordring! Wendy ha creado una hermosa exhibición artística en la biblioteca Stephens Central, y sus obras estarán expuestas en el vestíbulo hasta la celebración del Día de Muertos. ¡Estamos sumamente agradecidos de contar con su talento y creatividad para enriquecer a nuestra comunidad!

Ella es diseñadora industrial y artista visual; ha participado en más de 20 exposiciones individuales y 30 colectivas en Estados Unidos y México, además de organizar eventos que unen el arte con la comunidad. Su obra explora la experiencia humana, la naturaleza, las emociones y el pensamiento abstracto a través de acrílicos, óleos, pasteles, técnicas mixtas, arcilla y el arte consciente (*Mindful Art*). A través de su arte, su labor docente, el diseño gráfico y su empresa, Storming Designs, continúa inspirando a otros, fomentando la creatividad y compartiendo su amor por el arte con la comunidad.

Today, September 16, kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month, and we’re excited to celebrate by featuring the incredible work of artist Wendy Woordring! Wendy has created a beautiful art display at Stephens Central Library, and her artwork will be on display in the lobby through Día de los Muertos. We couldn’t be more grateful to have her talent and creativity enriching our community!

She is an Industrial Designer and Visual Artist who has participated in more than 20 solo exhibitions and 30 group exhibitions across the United States and Mexico, while also organizing events that bring art and community together. Her work explores the human experience, nature, emotions, and abstract thought through acrylic, oils, pastels, mixed media, clay, and Mindful Art. Through her art, teaching, graphic design, and business, Storming Designs, she continues to inspire others, promote creativity, and share her love of art with the community.
