San Angelo, Texas – The Angelo State University cross country teams announced its new schedule following multiple discussions regarding the Lone Star Conferences decision to postpone fall sports to the spring semester. Cross country, golf, and tennis were the only fall sports allowed to participate in the fall due to each sport being low risk and low contact.
The Rams and Rambelles open the fall season in Levelland, Texas on Saturday, October 3 as the teams participate in the South Plains College Invitational meet. The squads will then travel to Ranger, Texas to run in the Ranger College Invitational on Friday, October 9. The Blue and Gold return home to run in their annual meet, the Blue and Gold Classic, on Friday, October 16. Angelo State will round out the season as the Rams and Rambelles host the Lone Star Conference Championship Meet on Saturday, October 24th.
Head coach Tom Dibbern had this to say about getting to compete throughout the fall season, "It's very exciting for these kids to be given an opportunity to compete. We are excited about hosting the LSC Championships and hope that we create momentum for competition for the other sports. We feel very confident that we are able to practice and compete in a safe manner throughout the entire athletic department."
Due to the pandemic, Angelo State has also canceled its annual high school meet but will resume in 2021.

San Ángelo, Texas – Los equipos de campo traviesa de la Universidad Estatal Angelo anunciaron su nuevo calendario luego de múltiples discusiones sobre la decisión de Lone Star Conferences de posponer los deportes de otoño hasta el semestre de primavera. El campo a través, el golf y el tenis fueron los únicos deportes de otoño a los que se les permitió participar en el otoño debido a que cada deporte era de bajo riesgo y bajo contacto.
Los Rams y Rambelles abren la temporada de otoño en Levelland, Texas, el sábado 3 de octubre mientras los equipos participan en el encuentro por invitación de South Plains College. Los escuadrones luego viajarán a Ranger, Texas para correr en el Ranger College Invitational el viernes 9 de octubre. El Blue and Gold regresará a casa para correr en su encuentro anual, el Oro y Azul Classic, el viernes 16 de octubre. Angelo State Completa la temporada cuando los Rams y Rambelles organizan el Lone Star Conference Championship reuniéndose el sábado 24 de octubre.
El entrenador en jefe Tom Dibbern dijo lo siguiente sobre la posibilidad de competir durante la temporada de otoño: "Es muy emocionante para estos niños tener la oportunidad de competir. Estamos entusiasmados de ser anfitriones de los Campeonatos de LSC y esperamos crear un impulso para la competencia para otros deportes. Estamos muy seguros de que podemos practicar y competir de forma segura en todo el departamento deportivo".
Debido a la pandemia, Angelo State también canceló su reunión anual con la escuela preparatoria, pero se reanudará en 2021.
