SAN ANGELO – Aurora Prieto has the best of both worlds when it comes to her business, Aurora’s Creations and being a realtor for Scott Allison Real Estate, 1151 Knickerbocker Road.
The core of Prieto’s huge success in both personal and business realms is twofold. For instance, Allison has a sign that reads “Nice Matters” which perfectly describes Aurora’s life as a Christian who is a person of integrity, personally and professionally.
Prieto also brings a wealth of positive factors that can contribute to the success of the company. One is being bilingual. Another positive attribute, she is an encourager. When Prieto found out that several 20 under 40 real estate agents got nominated recently, she sent a personal congratulatory card to them.
Prieto lives her life by that axiom “plan your work and work your plan.” She firmly believes a disciplined person has to live a daily routine in making sure to take care of her employer’s business just as if it were her own. Prieto also credits using a planner which includes positive affirmations noted. And, being thankful.
What has made your business, Aurora’s Creations so successful these past 18 years? “Never give up on your dreams. And put the work into the business.” Also, “think outside the box. I was the first person to bring the throne chair for Quinceañeras to San Angelo.”
Prieto concluded the interview, saying she has two successful professional careers that overlap to the point where she gets referrals from both.
“I decorate for a wedding and when the bride and groom love what I did for them, they hired me as their realtor.” Same thing happens when Aurora does quinceañeras.
“Nice Matters” is more than just a slogan. In the end it pays to be nice for no other reason than that is who Aurora really is at the core of her life, both from a spiritual perspective, and professionally.
