Food Truck Fest a foodies delight

SAN ANGELO – With the rising popularity of food trucks becoming the norm, local brick-and-mortar food business owners set up shop under one roof, the Concho Valley Farmers Market Pavilion for this year’s 5th annual, Food Truck Festival hosted by Paintbrush Alley Market Days. The FTF took place on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Foodies were able to purchase their favorite delicacies ranging from deep-fried, battered funnel cakes, to Barbeque, cheese and steak sandwiches, kettle corn, shaved ice, specialty cupcakes, etc.

A total of 22 vendors, including 10 food trucks were spread out in the parking lot. First year-owner of Dreamy Sweets Bakery, Cindy Holguin stated some of the favorite cupcake flavors sold quickly were strawberry, lemonade, Oreo, Snickerdoodle, and chocolate peanut butter.

Kimberly Ramirez, owner of Grazey Kim sold charcuterie, comprised of suppressata, and prosciutto, brie and Manchego, maple cookie, olives and cornichons, berries and grapes, fig jam, apricots, and mixed nuts priced at $25.

Live musical entertainment appearances included: Billy Dan’s One-Man Band, Blues Band & Rowdy Richter and, Daycee Oswalt of the Dudettes. Daycee sang a cover song, titled “I Walk the Line,” by Country Singer, Johnny Cash whose iconic classic was released in 1956.
