SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo TEA Party held a meeting on Tuesday, May 14th at the West Texas Training Center, the speaker of the evening was George Rodriguez. He is a known blogger and author who shares his conservative views. He has worked in public relations most of his life and served on both the Reagan and Bush administrations in public relations and legislative affairs.
“When there’s racism it’s about competing against each other instead of working together,” commented Rodriguez. The United States has racism but there are efforts to overcome it. In Mexico there is racism but there is the also a difference in class. “People need to understand that racism is bad and it’s everywhere. Only an individual can overcome it by not being racist and at the same time not being afraid of it. If you are afraid of racism then you will live your life in fear,” stated Rodriguez
“Coming into the United States is a lengthy process with a back log due to many people wanting to come here. Deciding to come in illegally hurts the person, family and country. Sanctuary cities offer benefits to illegal immigrants in certain ways like protecting them from being arrested or deported, but this causes problems for the legal system because they are indeed breaking the law,” stated Rodriguez.
Rodriguez has a radio program on KLUP 930 am in San Antonio and a program on blog talk radio entitled El Conservador. “The topics that the public is interested in are immigration, racism and current news out of Austin and Washington, “stated Rodriguez.
“This country is the best and we should give thanks for being here. Racism is a world-wide problem, it is not just associated to one group and we should see it that way instead of criticizing just one group, because if we try to blame it on just one group then we are practicing racism ourselves, “concluded Rodriguez.

SAN ANGELO, TX – El martes 14 de mayo el San Angelo TEA Party llevó a cabo una reunión en el centro de capacitación oeste de Texas, por sus siglas en ingles (West Texas Training Center), donde el orador de la noche fue George Rodríguez. Él es un conocido bloguero y autor que comparte sus puntos de vista conservadores. La mayor parte de su vida ha trabajado en relaciones públicas y se desempeñó en asuntos legislativos y relaciones públicas en las administraciones Reagan y Bush.
Rodríguez comentó. "Cuando hay racismo, se trata de competir unos contra otros en lugar de trabajar juntos". Los Estados Unidos tiene racismo, pero hay esfuerzos para superarlo. En México hay racismo, pero también hay una diferencia de clase. Rodríguez afirmó. "La gente necesita entender que el racismo es malo y que está en todas partes. una persona puede vencerlo solamente sino es racista y al mismo tiempo no tenerle miedo. Si tienes miedo del racismo, vivirás tu vida con miedo”.
"Llegar a los Estados Unidos es un proceso largo con un registro atrasado debido a que muchas personas desean venir aquí. Decidir venir ilegalmente lastima a la persona, a la familia y al país. Las ciudades santuarios ofrecen beneficios a los inmigrantes ilegales de ciertas maneras, como protegerlos de ser arrestados o deportados, pero esto causa problemas para el sistema legal porque de hecho están violando la ley", declaró Rodríguez.
Rodríguez tiene un programa de radio en KLUP a las 9:30 am en San Antonio y un programa de radio de conversación en blog titulado El Conservador. "Los temas en los que el público está interesado son en inmigración, el racismo y las noticias actuales de Austin y Washington", declaró Rodríguez.
“Este país es el mejor y deberíamos dar gracias por estar aquí. "El racismo es un problema mundial, no solo está asociado a un grupo y deberíamos verlo de esa manera en lugar de criticar a un solo grupo, porque si intentamos echarle la culpa a un solo grupo, entonces nosotros también practicamos el racismo", concluyó. Rodríguez.
