San Angelo resident William Best took matters into his own hands when he decided to get into a snowball fight. Best probably got the “best” of whoever he was throwing snowballs at.
SAN ANGELO – When San Angelo turned the page on 2020 there was no sighting or even a hint of snow for the Christmas “Happy holiday” season.
Yet on consecutive weekends local and Concho Valley residents were ushered into the New Year 2021 with “frozen water crystals” (known as snow) which blew through much of West Texas turning it into a winter wonderland that had families turn out to enjoy it not once but twice!
The second time occurred on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021 as San Angelo received between 4 and 5 inches locally.
The majority of residents across the city just had to try their hand at building their own snowman. The second most popular thing to do was ... wait for it? Of course, have a snowball fight.
One particular building that stood out with snow falling in abundance was the historic Railway Museum of San Angelo located at 703 S, Chadbourne St.

William Best, residente de San Angelo, tomó las cosas en sus propias manos y decidió meterse en una guerra de bolas de nieve.
SAN ÁNGELO - Cuando San Ángelo dejó atrás el 2020, no hubo siquiera indicios de nieve para la temporada navideña.
Sin embargo, en fines de semana consecutivos, los residentes locales y del Valle de Concho recibieron al Año Nuevo 2021 con nevadas que llegaron a gran parte del oeste de Texas convirtiéndolo en un paraíso invernal que hizo que las familias lo disfrutaran ... no una sino dos veces.
La segunda vez ocurrió el domingo 10 de enero de 2021 cuando San Angelo recibió entre 4 y 5 pulgadas de nieve.
Una gran cantidad de residentes locales salieron a esculpir muñecos de nieve. Por supuesto que las guerras de nieve también se dejaron sentir por toda la ciudad.
Un edificio en particular que se destacó por la nieve que caía en abundancia fue el histórico Museo del Ferrocarril de San Ángelo ubicado en 703 S, Chadbourne St.
