San Angelo ISD proudly welcomes Mr. Greg McIntyre as the District’s new Deputy Superintendent. Mr. McIntyre comes to SAISD with over 33 years of educational experience most recently serving as Deputy Superintendent and Chief Administrative Officer at College Station ISD in College Station, Texas.
Prior to his role as Deputy Superintendent, Mr. McIntyre worked at the elementary, middle school and high school levels serving as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal as well as administratively in director, executive director, deputy superintendent, and chief of staff positions - all within College Station ISD. Mr. McIntyre’s expansive experience in multiple levels of public education, ability to solve problems, think strategically, form relationships and move students and staff toward success, make him a great addition to the team at SAISD. “Greg’s experience in a high-performing and fast-growth district will amplify our current efforts to increase postsecondary opportunities for our students. His commitment to students and passion for helping families will be an asset to San Angelo ISD,” said Superintendent Dr. Carl Dethloff. “Greg has a knack for building trust with staff and families, is committed to serving others, and has a proven record of creating conditions that foster academic success.” Mr. McIntyre also brings to his role as Deputy Superintendent experience in the areas of instructional coaching, leadership development, strategic planning, community-based accountability, and human resource development. Mr. McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. Mr. McIntyre has been happily married to his wife, Kelly for 35 years. They have three daughters and granddaughters who fill their life with joy and laughter. “I am sincerely honored for the opportunity to serve and support San Angelo ISD.
