Bautismo
Hace un tiempo, un compañero me preguntó: “¿Por qué le dan tanta importancia al bautismo?
¿Qué dice la biblia?
Romanos 6: 1-7 dice… “¿Qué, pues, diremos? ¿Continuaremos en el pecado para que abunde la gracia? ¡De ninguna manera! ¿Cómo podemos vivir en él los que morimos al pecado? ¿No sabéis que todos los que hemos sido bautizados en Cristo Jesús, fuimos bautizados en su muerte? Por tanto, fuimos sepultados con él por el bautismo en la muerte, para que así como Cristo resucitó de los muertos por la gloria del Padre, también nosotros andemos en novedad de vida. Porque si nos hemos unido a Él en una muerte como la Suya, ciertamente estaremos unidos a Él en una resurrección como la Suya. Sabemos que nuestro viejo yo fue crucificado con Él para que el cuerpo pecaminoso pudiera ser destruido y ya no seamos esclavos del pecado. Porque el que ha muerto queda libre del pecado ".
Hechos 22:16 dice… “¿Y ahora por qué esperas? Levántate y bautízate y lava tus pecados, invocando su nombre ”.
I Pedro 3:21 dice ... "El bautismo, que corresponde a esto, ahora los salva, no como una remoción de suciedad del cuerpo, sino como un llamamiento a Dios para que tenga una conciencia limpia, mediante la resurrección de Jesucristo".
Estos son solo tres de los pasajes que tratan del bautismo. Podrías leerlos todos. Una concordancia ayudará. Pero de estos pasajes aprendemos:
1. El bautismo nos pone en Cristo.
2. El bautismo nos pone en su muerte.
3. En el bautismo, somos resucitados para caminar en novedad de vida.
4. El bautismo es donde somos libres del pecado.
5. El bautismo lava el pecado.
6. El bautismo te salva.
Dios solo tiene que decir algo una vez para que sea verdad. Pero debemos prestar mucha atención cuando dice algo una y otra vez.

Acts 22:16 says… “Now why are you waiting? Get up and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name ”.
I Peter 3:21 says ... "Baptism, corresponding to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as a call to God for a clean conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ." .
These are just three of the passages that deal with baptism. You could read them all. A concordance will help. But from these passages we learn:
1. Baptism puts us in Christ.
2. Baptism puts us into his death.
3. In baptism, we are resurrected to walk in newness of life.
4. Baptism is where we are free from sin.
5. Baptism washes away sin.
6. Baptism saves you.
God only has to say something once for it to be true. But we must pay close attention when he says something over and over again.
