¿Qué dice la Biblia?

Si la Biblia fue escrita hace tanto tiempo, originalmente para personas que hablaban otros idiomas, ¿por qué debería dedicar tiempo a leerla? ¿Qué dice la Biblia?

“La ley del Señor es perfecta, que conforta el alma; el testimonio del Señor es fiel, que hace sabio al sencillo; los preceptos del Señor son rectos, que alegran el corazón; el mandamiento del Señor es puro, que alumbra los ojos; el temor del Señor es limpio, que permanece para siempre; los juicios del Señor son verdaderos, todos justos. Deseables son más que Dios, mucho oro fino; más dulces que la miel y que destila del panal.” Salmo 19:7-10

De este Salmo aprendemos:

1. Dado que la ley proviene de Dios y es creada por Dios, es perfecta o completa. La ley humana debe revisarse constantemente, pero la ley de Dios nos revisa a nosotros.

2. Cuando Dios proclama la verdad, hace visibles los pensamientos difíciles para que podamos comprenderlos. 3. Las reglas que Dios establece son correctas. Podemos tener seguridad y gozo en ellas.

4. Los mandamientos de Dios son puros. Nada añadido. Como la luz, hacen visible la verdad.

5. La pureza de la ley de Dios provoca una reacción en quienes la practican. Nuestra reacción o reverencia también es pura. Sin contaminación.

6. De principio a fin, las leyes de Dios son verdaderas y justas.

7. Estas palabras de Dios son lo más valioso que podemos tener. Producen una vida dulce.

Esta vida con la palabra de Dios nunca envejece. Como la miel, no se echa a perder. Soy Paul Shero. Te espero el domingo.

What Does the Bible Say?

Since the Bible was written so long ago, originally to people who spoke other languages, why should I spend time reading it? What does the Bible say?

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than god, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.”  Psalm 19:7-10

From this Psalm we learn:

1.      Since the law comes from God and is created by God it is perfect or complete. Law by man have to constanly be revised but God’s law revises us.

2.      When God proclaims truth He makes difficult thoughts visible so we can understand.

3.      The rules God makes are right. We can have security and joy in them.

4.      God’s commandments are pure. Nothing added. Like light they make truth visible.

5.      The purity of God’s lawbring a reaction from those who practice the law. Our reaction or reverence is pure as well. No polution.

6.      Thur and thru God’s laws are true and righteous.

7.      These words from God are the most valuable thing we can have. They produce a sweet life.
