SAN ANGELO – Rita Capuchina and Dallas Caraway are one of the best professional duos when it comes to cover songs.
One example Capuchina and Caraway performed onstage was “Those Memories of You” most famously done by Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris and Linda Ronstadt.
Singer Rita, and Dallas, a guitarist, performed a two-hour set of cover songs at The House of Fi Fi Dubois, located downtown, 123 S. Chadbourne.
Tony Hunter, owner of the business was asked if Rita reminded her of any particular singer. Her response was classic: “Rita.”
Hunter enjoys Capuchina and Caraway’s music because it is a mixture of everything. As for which cover song, she thought Rita and Dallas did as good as the original artist’ own song? It was Dwight Yoakum and Sheryl Crow’s 1997 duet, “Baby Don’t Go.”
