San Angelo, Texas – On Tuesday February 11ththe San Angelo Chamber of Commerce held its monthly meeting at the San Angelo Country Club. Col. Andrew Nazario, 17th Training Wing Commander shared information about the projects that Goodfellow Airforce Base (GFAFB) participated in with the City of San Angelo (COSA).
The theme was: The Future of the Airforce
“Our relationship with San Angelo is in our genesis. It started in the 1940s when a group of Civic leaders offered a patch of land to the war department for the construction of Good Fellow AFB,” commented Col. Andrew Nazario.
According to Nazario the GFAFB has plans with COSA for the 18 to 24 months.
Goodfellow Airforce Base works with the City but also stays at the forefront of the security and defense of the nation. “The training that GFAFB provides is exactly what is needed for the defense of the country,” concluded Col. Nazario.

San Ángelo, Texas – La Cámara de Comercio de San Ángelo, el martes 11 de febrero celebró su reunión mensual en el San Ángelo Country Club. El coronel Andrew Nazario, Comandante de la 17va ala de entrenamiento, compartió información sobre los proyectos en los que la Base de la Fuerza Aérea Goodfellow (SJAFB) participó con la Ciudad de San Ángelo (COSA).
El tema fue: El futuro de la fuerza aérea.
“Nuestra relación con San Ángelo está en nuestro origen. Comenzó en la década de 1940 cuando un grupo de líderes cívicos ofreció una parcela de tierra al departamento de guerra para la construcción de Good Fellow AFB", comentó el Coronel Andrew Nazario.
Según Nazario, el GFAFB tiene planes con COSA como para 18 a 24 meses.
La Base de la Fuerza Aérea Goodfellow trabaja con la ciudad, pero también se mantiene a la vanguardia de la seguridad y defensa de la nación. "La capacitación que proporciona GFAFB es exactamente lo que se necesita para la defensa del país", concluyó diciendo el Coronel Nazario.
