SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – United Way of the Concho Valley is excited to officially launch Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to all children aged newborn – 5 in the Concho Valley. This program will provide one age-appropriate, high-quality book every month to each child’s home for FREE.

Literacy isn't just about reading words on a page; it's about empowerment, opportunity, and the foundation of a thriving community. When individuals are literate, they possess the tools to navigate the complexities of the world, express themselves effectively, and pursue their dreams.” – Ashley Ammons, United Way CEO & President
The official launch party was held at the Tom Green County Library and was attended by almost 300 people from the community. As of 3 PM today there were already close to 700 children within the Concho Valley signed up. Through the dedication of the United Way team, along with the support of donors and community stakeholders, we're ensuring that every child in the Concho Valley has access to the invaluable gift of literacy. A special thanks to AEP Texas, City National Bank, Atmos Energy, HEB, West Texas Rehab Center, Texas Bank, and multiple individual donors for already joining us and supporting this program in the Concho Valley.

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – United Way of the Concho Valley se complace en lanzar oficialmente la Biblioteca de imaginación de Dolly Parton para todos los niños recién nacidos hasta los 5 años en Concho Valley. Este programa proporcionará un libro de alta calidad y apropiado para su edad cada mes a la casa de cada niño GRATIS.
“Hoy celebramos nuestra primera prioridad: la preparación para el jardín de infantes y la lectura a nivel de grado para el tercer grado. La alfabetización no se trata sólo de leer palabras en una página; se trata de empoderamiento, oportunidades y la base de una comunidad próspera. La fiesta de lanzamiento oficial se llevó a cabo en la biblioteca del condado de Tom Green y asistieron casi 300 personas de la comunidad. A las 3 de la tarde de hoy ya había cerca de 700 niños del Valle del Concho inscritos. A través de la dedicación del equipo de United Way, junto con el apoyo de los donantes y las partes interesadas de la comunidad, garantizamos que todos los niños del Valle del Concho tengan acceso al invaluable regalo de la alfabetización.
