What Does the Bible Say?

In the 5^th chapter of 2 Corinthians the Apostle Paul calls Christians ambassadors. What does the Bible say?

“So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

From this scripture we learn:

1.      We are ambassadors for Christ. Ambassadors have a very important job. They represent their King to others.

2.      They are not there to share their own opinions, but to truthfully share their king’s message.

3.      They are not there to become citizens of another kingdom but to faithfully represent their king and their country to others.

4.      The job given to us as Christ’s ambassadors is a mission and message of reconciliation. We, in the name of our King Jesus, say, “Be reconciled to God.”

God is calling  us to come to him. God is using his people to declare this invitation.

¿Qué dice la Biblia?

En el capítulo 5 de 2 Corintios, el apóstol Pablo llama a los cristianos «embajadores». ¿Qué dice la Biblia?

«Así que somos embajadores de Cristo, como si Dios hiciera su llamamiento por medio de nosotros. En nombre de Cristo os rogamos: reconciliaos con Dios». 2 Corintios 5:20

De esta escritura aprendemos:

1. Somos embajadores de Cristo. Los embajadores tienen una labor muy importante: representan a su Rey ante los demás.

2. No están allí para compartir sus propias opiniones, sino para transmitir fielmente el mensaje de su rey.

3. No están allí para convertirse en ciudadanos de otro reino, sino para representar con fidelidad a su rey y a su país ante los demás.

4. La labor que se nos ha encomendado como embajadores de Cristo es una misión y un mensaje de reconciliación. Nosotros, en el nombre de nuestro Rey Jesús, decimos: «Reconciliaos con Dios».

Dios nos está llamando a venir a Él. Dios está utilizando a su pueblo para proclamar esta invitación.
