What Does the Bible Say?

We all know that honesty is essential in our dealings with God. The question is, are we being honest with God or do we attempt to lie to him? What does the Bible say?

“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth; but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

 1 John 1:5-7

From this scripture we learn:

1.      God is light, truth, and there is no darkness in him. None at all.

2.      But if we say we are in fellowship with him but we are walking in darkness we lie, and do not live in truth.

3.      We have good news given. If we walk in the light as his is in the light, we have fellowship with others who walk in light.

4.      More good news, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins.

5.      So we have a warning of danger and a promise of God – Good News!

Our walk (our conduct) and our talk (what we say) must be in agreement. Think about it. This is Paul Shero and I’ll be looking for you Sunday.
