SAN ANGELO, TX – Angelo State University will host its annual Military Appreciation Day football game and related activities on Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at 10 a.m. and running until the end of the Rams’ football game at around 10 p.m.
The parking lot at ASU’s LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University Ave., will open for tailgating at 10 a.m. Tailgate spots are free and open to the public, but must be reserved in advance and in person at the LeGrand Center. Spots are limited, so early reservation is encouraged.
The LeGrand Center will also be the site for Military Appreciation Day Ram Jam starting at 3:30 p.m. Ram Jam admission is free, and activities include live music and performances by the ASU Ram Band, Angelettes, cheerleaders and mascots. There will also be free food, giveaways and children’s activities.
Then at 5:30 p.m., the Ram Band, Angelettes and cheerleaders will lead the crowd across the street to LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field for the ASU Rams football game against Simon Fraser University that starts at 6 p.m. Admission to the football game will be free for active-duty military, their dependents, veterans and retirees with valid military ID card.
*Please be aware, fireworks and cannon shots will be fired during the opening ceremony and throughout the game.
Military Appreciation Day is sponsored by the ASU Veterans Educational and Transitional Services (VETS) Center and the ASU Alumni Association.

SAN ANGELO, TX – Angelo State University organizará su partido de fútbol anual del día de apreciación militar y actividades relacionadas el sábado 14 de septiembre, comenzando a las 10 a.m. y corriendo hasta el final del partido de fútbol de los Rams alrededor de las 10 p.m.
La puerta del estacionamiento se abrirá a las 10 a.m. en el centro de visitantes y alumnos LeGrand de ASU, 1620 University Ave. Los lugares de Tailgate son gratuitos y abiertos al público, pero deben reservarse en persona con anticipación y en el Centro LeGrand. Las plazas son limitadas, por lo que se recomienda reservar con anticipación.
El Centro LeGrand también será el sitio para el Día de Apreciación Militar Ram Jam a partir de las 3:30 p.m. La entrada a Ram Jam es gratuita, y las actividades incluyen música en vivo y actuaciones de Ram Band de ASU, Angelettes, porristas y mascotas. También habrá comida gratis, regalos y actividades para niños.
