El Museo de Bellas Artes de San Angelo (SAMFA) organizará una recepción de inauguración para la Exposición Bienal del Profesorado de Arte de Angelo State University el jueves 3 de septiembre de 2026, de 5:30 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., en las instalaciones del museo (1 Love Street). La recepción será gratuita y abierta al público; se ofrecerán refrigerios ligeros.

La recepción coincidirá con el evento "Sips with Seth", durante el cual el director ejecutivo del SAMFA, Seth Hopkins, conversará con los artistas y profesores participantes de ASU —Susanna Klooster, Kat Truth, John Vinklarek y Hayun Surl— sobre sus obras, prácticas artísticas y experiencias tanto como educadores como artistas en activo.

Ese mismo día, en un horario anterior (de 12:00 p. m. a 1:00 p. m.), se llevará a cabo una sesión adicional del programa "Art for Lunch" (Arte durante el almuerzo), que contará con la participación de los profesores y artistas Jacqueline Negreros, Ben Sum y Randy Hall. Se invita a los asistentes a este evento a traer su propio almuerzo.

El Museo de Bellas Artes de San Angelo se complace en presentar la Exposición Bienal del Profesorado de Arte de Angelo State University, que estará abierta al público del 30 de julio al 4 de octubre de 2026.

Esta exposición presenta la obra de los talentosos miembros del profesorado del Departamento de Arte de Angelo State University. Cada uno de estos dedicados docentes es, a su vez, un artista activo y de gran trayectoria.

Esta muestra dinámica y variada incluye obras recientes de Katherine Bunker (Kat Truth), Edwin Cuenco, Randy Hall, Susanna Klooster, Jacqueline Negreros, Ben Sum, Hayun Surl y John Vinklarek, abarcando diversas disciplinas como pintura, dibujo, cerámica, grabado, escultura, diseño gráfico, video e instalación.

SAMFA to Host Opening Reception for Angelo State University Art Faculty Biennial Exhibition

The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will host an opening reception for the Angelo State University Art Faculty Biennial Exhibition on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at SAMFA, 1 Love Street. The reception will be free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

The opening reception will coincide with Sips with Seth, during which SAMFA Executive Director Seth Hopkins will speak with participating ASU faculty artists Susanna Klooster, Kat Truth, John Vinklarek, and Hayun Surl about their work, artistic practices, and experiences as both educators and working artists.

An additional Art for Lunch program will be held earlier that day from 12 to 1 p.m. and will feature faculty artists Jacqueline Negreros, Ben Sum, and Randy Hall. Guests attending Art for Lunch are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

The Angelo State University Art Faculty Biennial Exhibition features the work of the talented faculty members of Angelo State University’s Art Department. Each one of these dedicated instructors is an active and accomplished artist.

This dynamic and varied exhibit features new works by Katherine Bunker (Kat Truth), Edwin Cuenco, Randy Hall, Susanna Klooster, Jacqueline Negreros, Ben Sum, Hayun Surl, and John Vinklarek, in a range of media including painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, video, and installation.
