Three SAISD Educators Receive Awards

Left-to-right: Michelle Dye, Jenny Ruppert, and Brittany Wagner were honored as Counselors of the Year and Friend of Counseling by the Three Rivers Counseling Association. SAN ANGELO – Three San Angelo ISD educators were honored as Counselors of the Year and Friend of Counseling by the Three Rivers Counseling Association (TRCA) at the 33rd Annual Counselor Appreciation Luncheon held on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022. Congratulations to:

  • Brittany Wagner of Glenn Middle School, winner of the George Pliler Middle School Counselor of the Year Award,

  • Jenny Ruppert of Lake View High School, winner of the George Pliler High School Counselor of the Year Award, and

  • Michelle Dye, At Risk Coordinator at Lincoln Middle School, winner of the Friend of Counseling Award.

“Our School Counselors are the heart of their campus. They collaborate with all stakeholders including children, parents, staff, and outside agencies. I am proud to work with the great counselors and counselor support teams at SAISD like Ms. Wagner, Ms. Ruppert, and Ms. Dye” said Director of Assessments and Counseling Rebecca Cline.

To qualify for the TRCA awards, nominations were made based on letters of support from a colleague, student or community leader or the nominee’s supervisor or administrator.
