There is a lot of talk today about gender. There is a lot of conversation and interest in changing genders. Does the Bible even talk about such things?
Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’
From these scriptures we learn:
1. God created man. The word used in Genesis 1:26 translated as “man” means all people, mankind, human beings. This word is used again in Genesis 1:27 when He says, “So God created man in His own image…”. Later verse 27 He uses two distinctly different words. He says, “…male and female…”.
2. Genders are not accidents of nature but the plan of God.

Hoy en día se habla mucho de género. Hay mucha conversación e interés en cambiar de género. ¿Habla siquiera la Biblia de tales cosas?
Génesis 1:26-27 Entonces dijo Dios: Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, conforme a nuestra semejanza. Y tenga dominio sobre los peces del mar, y sobre las aves de los cielos, y sobre las bestias, y sobre toda la tierra, y sobre todo animal que se arrastra sobre la tierra. Así que creó Dios al hombre a su imagen, a imagen de Dios lo creó; varón y hembra los creó.
Marcos 10:6 Pero desde el principio de la creación, "Dios los hizo varón y hembra".
De estas escrituras aprendemos:
1. Dios creó al hombre. La palabra usada en Génesis 1:26 traducida como “hombre” significa todas las personas, la humanidad, los seres humanos. Esta palabra se usa nuevamente en Génesis 1:27 cuando dice: “Y creó Dios al hombre a su imagen…”. Más adelante, en el versículo 27, utiliza dos palabras claramente diferentes. Él dice: “…masculino y femenino…”.
2. Los géneros no son accidentes de la naturaleza sino el plan de Dios.
