San Angelo, Texas – Wylie Webb was recognized on Monday July 22nd by the San Angelo Independent School District for his service as auditor. Born and raised in San Angelo, Webb graduated high school in 1951 then attended the University of Texas in 1959. From 1968 – 1971 Wylie was the Mayor of San Angelo and served as President of the San Angelo Independent School Board for 9 years. In 1977 he opened an accounting firm with his brother named Webb & Webb CPA firm. He was with SAISD for 27 years.
“We should be thanking the school instead of them thanking us because it’s been a privilege to work with this district,” commented Webb. During his time with SAISD he trained a lot of people, he specifically recalls a young man that went on to work with a national firm in Austin and now works on the State of Texas audit. Now retired at 86 years old he spends his time working with the Mary Ellen Kent Bunyard Family Foundation.

San Angelo, Texas – El lunes 22 de Julio de 2019, Wylie Webb fue reconocido por el Distrito Escolar Independiente de San Angelo por su servicio como auditor. Nació y creció en San Angelo, Webb se graduó en 1951 de la escuela preparatoria y luego en 1959 asistió a la Universidad de Texas. Wylie fue el alcalde de San Angelo desde 1968 hasta 1971, y durante 9 años fue presidente de la Junta Escolar Independiente de San Angelo. En 1977 abrió una agencia de contabilidad con su hermano, la agencia de CPA Webb & Webb estuvo con SAISD por 27 años.
"Deberíamos agradecer a la escuela en lugar de que nos agradezcan a nosotros porque ha sido un privilegio trabajar con este distrito", comentó Webb. Durante su tiempo en SAISD, entrenó a muchas personas, recuerda específicamente a un joven que fue a trabajar a Austin con una empresa nacional y ahora trabaja en la auditoría del Estado de Texas. Jubilado ahora a la de edad de 86 años, pasa su tiempo trabajando con la Fundación de Familia Mary Ellen Kent Bunyard.
