Del Rio, Texas - The Mexican Consulate Office in Del Rio, Texas is under temporary consular representation after Carlos Garrido Obrador moved to the Philadelphia office as of October 29th. Jose Luis Diaz Miron is holding the post temporarily.
“The position is temporary, but we have the same responsibilities and goals,” commented Diaz Miron. It will be business as usual with one new service that will be offered by the mobile consulate that visits San Angelo. In April and September of 2020, they will provide the opportunity for civil registration. “The Mexican Consulate has had a great relationship with the Stephens Central Library and The Segunada Iglesia Bautista, but because these dates will include a Sunday then the event will take place at the church thanks to Pastor Edgar Trinidad,” commented Diaz Miron.
Diaz Miron spoke about the Detention Center in Eden Texas stating, “We are trying to establish the mechanics and coordination for future visits to offer assistance we are here to serve our community.”

Del Rio, Texas -La oficina del consulado mexicano en Del Río, Texas, está bajo representación consular temporal después de que Carlos Garrido Obrador se mudó a la oficina de Philadelphia a partir del 29 de octubre. José Luis Diaz Mirón ocupa el cargo temporalmente.
"El puesto es temporal, pero tenemos las mismas responsabilidades y objetivos", comentó Díaz Mirón. Todo seguirá como de costumbre con un nuevo servicio que ofrecerá el consulado móvil que visita San Ángelo.
En abril y septiembre de 2020, brindarán la oportunidad a los mexicanos de procesar su registro civil. "El Consulado de México ha tenido una gran relación con la Biblioteca Central Stephens y la Iglesia Bautista Segunda, pero debido a que estas fechas incluirán un domingo, el evento tendrá lugar en la iglesia gracias al Pastor Edgar Trinidad", comentó Díaz Mirón.
Díaz Mirón habló sobre el Centro de Detención en Eden, Texas, diciendo: "Estamos tratando de establecer la mecánica y la coordinación para futuras visitas para ofrecer asistencia, estamos aquí para servir a nuestra comunidad".
