Eagle Pass, Texas—EE. UU. Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza, Oficina de Operaciones de Campo (OFO) en el Puente Internacional Eagle Pass interceptó $578,456 en presuntos fentanilo, cocaína y metanfetamina el 24 de septiembre de 2022.
“El contrabando de narcóticos ilícitos es una grave amenaza internacional para la salud y la seguridad”, dijo la directora del puerto de (A), Elizabeth Garduno, puerto de entrada de Eagle Pass. “CBP continuará interceptando estas drogas peligrosas a través de nuestras vigorosas acciones de cumplimiento”.
El 24 de septiembre de 2022, los oficiales de CBP asignados al Puente Internacional Eagle Pass se encontraron con un hombre de 22 años que conducía un Chevrolet Aveo negro que ingresaba desde México. El vehículo fue seleccionado para inspección utilizando equipo de inspección no intrusiva (NII). Después de realizar una inspección física, los oficiales descubrieron 17 paquetes ocultos dentro del vehículo. Los paquetes contenían siete libras (3,2 kg) de presunto fentanilo, 20,9 libras (9,5 kg) de presunta cocaína y 14,9 libras (6,8 kg) de presunta metanfetamina.
Los oficiales de CBP incautaron los narcóticos y el vehículo. El Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de EE. UU.-Investigaciones de Seguridad Nacional (ICE-HSI) arrestó al conductor e inició una investigación criminal.
CBP Officers Seize over $500,000 in mixed narcotics at the Eagle Pass International Bridge

Eagle Pass, Texas—U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Eagle Pass International Bridge intercepted $578,456 worth of alleged fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine on September 24, 2022.
“The smuggling of illicit narcotics is a serious international health and security threat,” said (A)Port Director Elizabeth Garduno, Eagle Pass Port of Entry. “CBP will continue to intercept these dangerous drugs through our vigorous enforcement actions.”
On September 24, 2022, CBP officers assigned to the Eagle Pass International Bridge encountered a 22-year-old man driving a black Chevrolet Aveo making entry from Mexico. The vehicle was selected for inspection utilizing non-intrusive inspection (NII) equipment. After conducting a physical inspection, officers discovered 17 packages concealed within the vehicle. The packages contained seven pounds (3.2kg) of alleged fentanyl, 20.9 pounds (9.5kg) of alleged cocaine, and 14.9 pounds (6.8kg) of alleged methamphetamine.
CBP officers seized the narcotics and vehicle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI) arrested the driver and has initiated a criminal investigation.
