¡Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom celebra su 5.º aniversario!

Celebraremos con una fiesta el martes 13 de mayo, de 5 a 8 p. m. Habrá música de Manny Campos, globos y tatuajes temporales para los niños, además de premios y cupcakes.

Ubicada en el centro de San Angelo, Old Central Firehouse fue construida en 1929. Fue una de las primeras estaciones de bomberos de San Angelo y permaneció como tal hasta 1976. Este edificio es de una belleza imponente y está completamente renovado.

OCF es conocida por su excelente pizza y opciones únicas como tacos callejeros, jalapeños popper, pepinillos y brisket, entre otras. Desde su apertura hace 5 años, la pizzería ha sido elegida como la Mejor Pizza en 4 de los 5 años. También ha sido galardonada con otros premios, como: selección de cervezas, experiencia gastronómica, restaurante completo y patio al aire libre. OCF ha servido cientos de miles de pizzas y se enorgullece de la excelente atención al cliente que ofrece a todos sus clientes. OCF creó el Fondo de Becas para Primeros Respondientes de OCF, que ofrece becas a los dependientes de los Primeros Respondientes. Han trabajado arduamente en esto y, gracias a la generosidad de nuestra comunidad, han logrado que el fondo crezca cada año con la esperanza de ayudar a aún más niños.

"En 5 años, hemos hecho muchos amigos nuevos y hemos podido hacer muchas más cosas en y para nuestra comunidad que nunca antes habíamos podido hacer".

Cada año, OCF organiza una búsqueda de huevos de Pascua en el parque. Este año, con la ayuda de los Primeros Respondientes y amigos, lograron esconder más de 5000 huevos. Para Halloween, organizan una "Truck or Treat with Heroes" (Truck o Treat con Héroes), donde los niños pueden hablar y tomarse fotos con los héroes locales mientras pasean y recogen dulces. ¡A veces incluso encontrarás su viejo camión de bomberos en el desfile navideño con Papá Noel y nieve! OCF se asocia con el Instituto Laura Bush para organizar una Noche Rosa en el Parque de Bomberos cada octubre para recaudar fondos para el Equipo Rosa. La lista es interminable, pero Michele se asegura de que todo esto sea posible con la maravillosa gente de San Angelo.

We are celebrating with a party on Tuesday, May 13th from 5-8. They will have music by Manny Campos, balloons and temporary tattoos for the kids along with door prizes and cupcakes.

Situated in Downtown San Angelo, Old Central Firehouse was built in 1929. It was one of the first firehouses in San Angelo and remained a firehouse until 1976. This building is beautiful in stature and completely renovated.

OCF is known for their great pizza and unique choices such as: street taco, jalapeno popper, pickle and brisket to name a few. Since opening 5 years ago, the pizzeria has been voted Best of the Best Pizza 4 out of 5 years. They have been honored with other Best of the Best such as: beer selection, dining experience, all-around restaurant and outdoor patio. OCF has served hundreds of thousands of pizzas and prides themselves on the great customer service that is offered to all guests.

OCF started the OCF 1st Responders Scholarship Fund that offer scholarships to dependents of 1st Responders. This is something they have worked hard on and through the kindness of our community, they have been able to grow the fund each year in hopes to help even more kids.

Each year OCF hosts an Easter Egg hunt in the park, this year with the help of First Responders and friends, they were able to ‘hide’ over 5,000 eggs. For Halloween, they host a Trunk or Treat with Heroes, kids can talk with and take photos with local heroes as they walk around and collect candy. Sometimes you’ll even find their old firetruck in the Christmas parade with Santa and snow! OCF partners with the Laura Bush Institute for a Pink Out Night at the Firehouse to raise funds for Team Pink each October. The list goes on but Michele makes sure to let it be known that none of this is possible with the wonderful people here in San Angelo.
