¿Qué dice la Biblia?

Para poder llevar luz a los demás, debemos deshacernos de la oscuridad que hay en nosotros. ¿Qué dice la Biblia?

“No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados. Porque con el juicio con que juzguéis seréis juzgados, y con la medida con que midáis se os medirá. ¿Por qué miras la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no te das cuenta de la viga que está en el tuyo? ¿O cómo puedes decirle a tu hermano: “Déjame sacarte la paja del ojo”, cuando tienes la viga en el tuyo? ¡Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, y entonces verás bien para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano”. – Mateo 7:1-5

Del Sermón del Monte, Jesús nos enseña a ser hijos de la luz.

1. Aprendemos que no es nuestra voluntad ni nuestra ley. Es la de Dios, y estamos sujetos a ella, al igual que los demás. Así que el primer examen es con nosotros mismos. Vigila tu vida según su palabra, no la de tus amigos. Al hacerlo, encontramos mucho trabajo por hacer. Estaremos contentos con los resultados de nuestro esfuerzo y ajustaremos nuestra vida a su voluntad.

2. Cuando juzgamos sin someternos a Dios, nos atraemos un juicio más severo.

3. Si nos esforzamos por examinar la vida de nuestros hermanos con la vara, o el pecado, en nuestros ojos (vida), no podremos ver ni juzgar con claridad. Pero si el pecado es eliminado de nuestra vida, no solo tendremos una mejor relación con Dios, sino que podremos ayudar a los demás.

No seamos hipócritas, sino que con humildad ayudemos a otros a encontrar a Dios mientras nosotros y ellos pasamos de la oscuridad a la luz.

What Does the Bible Say?

Before we can bring light to others we must get rid of the darkness in us. What does the Bible say?

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye, when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” – Matthew 7:1-5

From the Sermon on the Mount Jesus teaches us how to be children of light.

1. We learn it is not our will or law. It is God’s and we are under it as well as others. So the first examination is with ourselves. Hold your life up to his word. Not your friends’ life. When we do this we find a lot of work to do. We will be happy with the results of our effort and we will bring our life into compliance with his will.

2. When we judge without submission to God we bring stricter judgement on ourselves.

3. If we are tyring to examine our brothers’ life with stick, or sin, in our eye (life) we will nto be able to see, or judge, clearly. But if the sin is removed from our life we not only have a better relationship with God we will be able to help others.

Let’s not be hypocrits but with humility help others find God as we and they move out of darkness into light.
