SAN ANGELO – This past Saturday, March 30th, the Suez Shriners held one of their biggest yearly fundraisers - The 2019 Shriners Ball. The McNease Convention Center was the venue that saw hundreds of people gather from all over the state to celebrate this momentous and philanthropic occasion.
Potentate Don Bunnell and his lady Shelly welcomed all guests to the event. Joseph Vargas served as master of ceremonies. Also, a very popular silent auction, which included unique and memorable collectibles, offered countless items to choose from. And last, but not least, Grammy-award winners, Bobby Flores and the Yellow Rose Band were in charge of adding that magic touch to the dance floor.
David Henderson, Vice-Chair of the Houston Shriners Hospital was the guest speaker. Mr. Henderson explained and detailed how vast amounts of children are being helped every day. After his presentation, he was honored with a collectible Shriner rodeo belt buckle as a token of appreciation.
There was dancing, eating, laughing and bidding. All for a good cause. On behalf of Potentate Don Bunnell, the Suez Shriners thank all who attended and supported the 2019 Shriners Ball. See you next year!

SAN ÁNGELO. El pasado sábado 30 de marzo, los Suez Shriners celebraron uno de sus mayores eventos anuales de recaudación de fondos: el baile Shriners 2019. El Centro de Convenciones McNease fue el lugar donde se reunieron cientos de personas de todo el estado para celebrar esta ocasión trascendental y filantrópica.
El potentado Don Bunnell y su dama Shelly dieron la bienvenida a todos los invitados al evento. Joseph Vargas se desempeñó como maestro de ceremonias. Además, hubo una subasta silenciosa muy popular, que incluía artículos de colección únicos y memorables, ofrecía innumerables artículos para elegir. Y, por último, pero no menos importante, los ganadores de los premios Grammy, Bobby Flores y Yellow Rose Band fueron los encargados de agregar ese toque mágico a la pista de baile.
David Henderson, vicepresidente del Hospital Houston Shriners fue el orador invitado. El Sr. Henderson explicó y detalló cómo se ayuda a grandes cantidades de niños todos los días. Después de su presentación, fue honrado con una hebilla de cinturón de rodeo Shriner coleccionable como muestra de agradecimiento.
Había personas bailando, comiendo, riendo y pidiendo. Todo por una buena causa. En nombre del potentado Don Bunnell, los Suez Shriners agradecen a todos los que asistieron y apoyaron el baile Shriners 2019. ¡Te veo el próximo año!
