SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Gives 2019 event is the 5th year that the San Angelo Area Foundation has hosted the 24-hour giving day. “This gives anyone, anywhere across the nation the opportunity to support causes in our community via online donations,” commented Janet Karcher, Vice President of the San Angelo Area Foundation. This year we had 173 organizations participate.
The San Angelo Area Foundation also works with donors and other supporters of the foundation and business to raise amplification dollars, that means that every gift at the end of the night is a little bit more. The first year this event took place we were able to raise $787,000 this year we have raised 2.2 million dollars.
The online platform allowed the supporter to choose one or multiple organizations to support in one transaction from anywhere. “I think the spirit of philanthropy is still alive in our community and this allows anyone to be a philanthropist,” Stated Karcher.
Organizations that participated were from of the 17 counties that the Area Foundation covers.
“This is a tremendous and collective effort and I think it’s is a true testament to our community that we surround each other with support and lift each other up and I think that is what makes San Angelo the best place to live, work and worship. We are very blessed to live in this community,” concluded Karcher.

SAN ANGELO – El día de dar (Gives) San Angelo 2019 es el quinto año que la Fundación área San Angelo (San Angelo Area Foundation) ha acogido el día de dar por 24 horas. Esto le da a cualquier persona, en cualquier lugar del país, la oportunidad de apoyar causas en nuestra comunidad a través de donaciones en línea. Este año tuvimos 173 organizaciones participantes.
La Fundación Area San Angelo también trabaja con donantes y otros partidarios de la fundación y negocios para recaudar y aumentar dólares, lo que significa que cada donación al final de la noche es un poco más.
