San Angelo, Texas – Theodore Boone, pastor of the Jesus Christ Church in Ballinger Texas is originally from Arkansas. He retired from the company eventually known as Verizon after 33 years due to the Lord’s Calling. “God called me off my job and said for me to trust him because he had a job, he was hiring me on,” commented Boone. It was 1981 when he was called into the ministry.
Boone came to San Angelo in 1985. In 1987 he became the pastor of a church in Ballinger, Texas. Six years later he left the church to open a restaurant. “I ran away from His calling to establish a new church in Ballinger, the restaurant was in service for 3 years, the Lord called me back to Ballinger to finish the work I had begun,” said Boone
On a trip to the mountains in Arkansas the spirit of the Lord ministered to Boone “The Lord spoke to me about what he wanted and what role he wanted me to play in it. He said the church was to be named Jesus Christ Church. There was some resistance from the city for the building permit. They prayed and went before the city council “Lord if this is yours then you are going have to handle it, but we are willing to be faithful” The permit was granted.
This year they celebrated their 20th anniversary of service to the community of Ballinger, Texas. “I am just a child of God, a servant, a minister of the highest God who has the heart to do the will of God. One of the things is to promote his kingdom and to bring unity in the body so the people can see the essence of who God really is through relationship believe that the power of the church is not in their doctrine but in their relationship with the one true and living God,” concluded Boone.

Rezaron y fueron al consejo de la ciudad "Señor, si esto es tuyo, entonces tendrás que manejarlo, pero estamos dispuestos a ser fieles". El permiso fue otorgado.
Este año celebraron su vigésimo aniversario de servicio a la comunidad de Ballinger, Texas. “Solo soy un hijo de Dios, un siervo, un ministro del Dios supremo que tengo el corazón para hacer la voluntad de Dios. Una de las cosas es promover su reino y traer unidad al cuerpo para que la gente pueda ver la esencia de quién es Dios realmente a través de la relación, creer que el poder de la iglesia no está en su doctrina sino en su relación con el verdadero y Dios vivo ", concluyó Boone.
