Del Rio, Texas – The Whitehead Memorial Museum would like to announce the launch of “What’s Your Story? An Oral History Project” to preserve the valuable history of Del Rio and Val Verde County.
Do you have a family story that you want preserved? Would you like to hear tales from family members about the past? Are you interested in sharing your experiences with world events?
“We have a vast and rich history here in Del Rio,” said Museum Director Michael Diaz. “Our unique stories should be told by our own people and in their words. Your story is important to us.”
Citizens of Val Verde County and Del Rio are encouraged to interview family members to help create a permanent record that documents your family history. Save your interview to a memory card and bring it to the museum. Interviews will be preserved in the Museum Archives for current and future generations to learn from for many years.

Del Rio, Texas – El Museo Whitehead Memorial quisiera anunciar el lanzamiento de "¿Cuál es su historia? Un proyecto de historia oral para preservar la valiosa historia de Del Rio y del condado Val Verde.
¿Tienes una historia familiar que quieres conservar? ¿Te gustaría escuchar historias de familiares sobre el pasado? ¿Estás interesado en compartir tus experiencias con eventos mundiales?
"Tenemos una vasta y rica historia aquí en Del Río", dijo el director del museo Michael Díaz. “Nuestras historias únicas deben ser contadas por nuestra propia gente y en sus palabras. Tu historia es importante para nosotros.
Se alienta a los ciudadanos del condado de Val Verde y Del Río a entrevistar a los miembros de la familia para ayudar a crear un registro permanente que documente su historial familiar. Guarde su entrevista en una tarjeta de memoria y tráigala al museo. Las entrevistas se conservarán en los archivos del museo para que las generaciones actuales y futuras puedan aprender durante muchos años.
