Celebrating the language diversity in Mexico, the Mexican consulate to the U.S. in Del Rio, in conjunction with Academia Don Quixote, Centro de Arte Falcon, Falcon Art Gallery and the Val Verde County Library, featured a book reading and discussion on Friday, Feb. 25 at the library.
In Mexico dozens of indigenous native languages remain alive, from before the arrival of the Spanish to North America more than 500 years ago. These languages branch into hundreds of variations.
The forum at the library featured and honored that diversity in Mexico and South America.
Consul of Mexico to the U.S. in Del Rio Paloma Villaseñor was joined at the event by Arturo Mancha, of Don Quixote Academy, and artist and business owner Adrian Falcon, who has performed extensive art research and charitable work in South Central Mexico among other dignitaries and personalities.

Celebrando la diversidad

Celebrando la diversidad lingüística en México, el consulado de México en Del Río, junto con la Academia Don Quixote, el Centro de Arte Falcón, la Galería de Arte Falcón y la Biblioteca del Condado Val Verde, presentaron una lectura y debate de ideas el viernes 25 de febrero en la biblioteca.
En México siguen vivas decenas de lenguas indígenas nativas, cuyos orígenes se remontan hasta antes de la llegada de los españoles al Continente Americano, hace más de 500 años. Estos idiomas se ramifican en cientos de variaciones.
El foro en la biblioteca destacó y honró esa diversidad en México y Sudamérica.
La cónsul de México en Del Río, Paloma Villaseñor, estuvo acompañada en el evento por Arturo Mancha, de la Academia Don Quixote, y el artista y propietario de la Galería Falcón, Adrián Falcón, quien ha realizado extensas investigaciones artísticas y obras de caridad en el centro sur de México, entre otros dignatarios y personalidades.
