SAN ANGELO – This year's 2022, annual "Central's Got Talent!", had some amazing singers, comedians, dancers, martial artists, instrumentalists perform before their own fellow Central High School classmates, parents and friends who cheered on their favorite performer.
At the No. 9 spot sitting there was Mr. Elijah Jackson, Central High School senior. Jackson debuted his original song titled, "What Else For Us To Say."
Just before Conexión interviewed Elijah, his fellow Central High School performers were there backstage to congratulate him with hugs, kisses and words of encouragement on a job well done.
Elijah explained the significance of the song, the title and what it is about."It's basically about how you create this idea of what love is in your head. And how you think someone might give it to you."
Jackson wrote the song last August based on his own personal experience. Elijah was totally taken by surprise that many in the audience loved his performance.
Among the other great 21 performances, included: "Someone in the Crowd" by The HarmoniCats, "Fancy Footwork" choreographed by Bailey Jowers, "Marital Arts Demo" by the dynamic duo of Lane Howell, and Austin Adams, etc.
A total of 21 performers took centerstage at the eighth annual, "Central's Got Talent" event held at the Murphy Performance Hall located at 72 W. College Ave.
