The 17th annual, Silver Spur Gun & Blade Show always popular with avid gun owners, hunters and people with similar interests, was held at the Foster Communications Coliseum July 9-10, 2022.

SAN ANGELO – Avid gun owners, hunters, diehard fans of Damascus knives, and people with similar interests in both types of weapons always turn out strong on a yearly basis for the Silver Spur Gun & Blade Show.

Kim Sansom, business owner and event organizer for the 17th annual, SSG&BS was asked why is this event so popular? “There are a lot of hunters in Texas, also the fact we have a lot of collectibles. People come out to see what is new on the market, also to swap or trade what they have been shooting” said Sansom.

What makes the show just as great is the fact that it’s like having 60 stores under one roof, as it was inside the Foster Communications Coliseum. At each vendor’s booth available for viewing, selling or swapping, there were new, used, & collectible guns, parts & accessories such as clips, grips, ammo, mags, & reloading equipment, supplies, holsters, & all types of knives, military surplus, collectibles, & Survival Gear, coins, jewelry, and purses for the women as well.

Sansom who has been in the business for 33 years was asked what does she personally like about the event?

“There are always new faces and over time they become like a family. It’s great to see the people I have come to know over the years. We are forever grateful for the support of the community to come out and make this event successful over the years” concluded Sansom.

The two-day weekend event was held Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. And Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
