¿Qué dice la Biblia?

En Colosenses, capítulo 1:16, Pablo dice: “…porque en él fueron creadas todas las cosas, las que hay en los cielos y las que hay en la tierra, visibles e invisibles; sean tronos, sean dominios, sean principados, sean potestades; todo fue creado por medio de él y para él”.

De esta escritura aprendemos:

1. Jesús creó todas las cosas. En Juan 1:3, Juan nos dice precisamente: “Todas las cosas por medio de él fueron hechas, y sin él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho”.

2. Si existe algo en el cielo o en la tierra, Jesús lo creó.

3. Incluso los puestos de autoridad, grandes y pequeños, deben su existencia a Jesús.

4. Todo esto fue creado por Cristo y para él. Esto significa que él es dueño de todo lo creado.

Estas verdades establecen el lugar de Jesús: por encima de todo. Él merece nuestra obediencia, respeto y adoración.

What Does the Bible Say?

In Colossians Chapter 1:16 Paul says, “…for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities – all things were created through him and for him.”

From this scripture, we learn:

1. Jesus created all things. In John 1:3 John tell us that very thing, “all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.”

2. If it exsis in heaven or on Earth, Jesus created it.

3. Even positions of authority large and small owe their existence to Jesus.

4. All these were created by Christ and for him. That means that he owns every created thing.

These truths establish the place of Jesus. Above and before all other things. He deserves our obedience and respect and our worship.
