The March 1, 2022 primary elections for Tom Green County results were still being tabulated late into the midnight hour. One race for TGC Judge had four candidates’ votes in the early stages of still being counted. SAN ANGELO – The final and unofficial votes for in the 2022 primary elections in Tom Green County were still being tabulated past the midnight hour. What was decided for sure is that for the first time in in County elections history, there will be three runoff elections between the following candidates. For County Judge: Mr. Lane Carter and Mr. Todd Kolls; for County Commissioner Precinct 4, Mr. Shawn Nanny and Mr. Bill Ford. And for Justice of the Peace in Pct. 3, Mr. Ron Perry and Mrs. Stacye Speck.
Because there was no clear-cut winner, meaning “If there is not a clear winner who received over 50%, then they will go to a primary run-off which will be May 24, 2022” said Vona Hudson, Tom Green County Elections Judge.
Below are the vote results for the following Republican offices.
County Judge
· Lane Carter: 3,878 represents 35.12%
· Joe Hyde:2,001 represents 18.12%.
· Tommy J. Usery: 1,630 represents 14.76%.
· Todd Kolls: 3,534 represents 32%.
County Court at Law No. 2
· Leland Lacy: 5,250 represents 49.44%.
· Andrew Graves: 5,368 represents 50.56%.
County Clerk,
· Christina Ubando: 6,086 represents 63.53%.
· Lupe Gomez: 3,493 represents 36.47%.
County Commissioner Precinct 4
· Lori Wilson: 543 represents 17.71%.
· Coco Simpson: 379 represents 12.36%.
· Derrick Garnett: 157 represents 5.12%.
· Shawn Nanny: 799 represents 26.06%.
· Bill Ford: 781 represents 25.47%.
· Dustin Barton: 407 represents 13.27%.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1
· Susan Werner: 940 represents 75.68%.
· Levi Vance: 302 represents 24.32%.
Justice Of the Peace Precinct 2
· Chris Duerstine:1,674 represents 47.22%.
· Tom Daniel: 1,871 represents 52.78%.
Justice Of the Peace Precinct 3
· Martha Muro: 206 represents 8.36%.
· Ron Perry: 1,162 represents 47.18%.
· Stacye Speck: 1,095 represents 44.46%.
